Join St. Mark's in a service project for Meals on Wheels:
It’s time again to prepare Christmas Gift Bags for our Meals on Wheels recipients. If you would love to share Christmas with these folks, it would be welcomed and appreciated. We fill each bag with fresh fruit and individually wrapped cakes, cookies, snack crackers, chips, candies, small candy canes, tiny boxes of raisins, and small bags of peanuts. Anything and everything that is individually wrapped is welcomed and enjoyed. You may leave your gifts in the parish kitchen marked “’Christmas MOW” and we’ll use them to fill the Christmas gift bags. If you would like to donate funds for the fresh fruit, you may drop off a check with Debra in the church office, or drop in the collection plate on Sunday. Please note that it is for MOW Christmas on your check. We generally purchase tangerines, apples and bananas; each bag receives three or four pieces of fruit. If the price is right, we add pears to the mix. LaGrange Farmers Market gives us special treatment for the fresh fruit, so please thank Cody or one of the other workers for their special attention to St. Mark’s Meals on Wheels project. If you would enjoy helping to fill the gift bags, we’ll be preparing the Christmas Gift Bags on Monday, December 19, at 1:00 p.m. The gift bags will be delivered with the Wednesday meal on December 21. The Christmas Gift Bags are part of our Christmas each year and are always a joy to give and to receive. Please help us again this year.
