Worship at Historic Zion

A worship service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday  June 5, 2016 at Zion Episcopal Church in Talbotton, GA.     Dress comfortably.  Non-perishable food will be collected for Talbotton Families in need.

Fr. Jeff Jackson, Rector of St Nicholas Episcopal Church, Hamilton, GA, will be the celebrant and preacher.  A reception will follow the service and there will be an opportunity to have a guided tour and learn about the rich history of Zion Church.  A treasure in our Diocese and Talbot County, Zion Episcopal Church was erected in 1848 in the city of Talbotton.  It is a fine example of Gothic architecture.  The choir loft has a rare Pilcher organ.  Installed in 1850 it is used today for services and events.  Fr. Jeff Jackson is the appointed diocesan steward of Zion.  Quarterly worship services are held.  Zion is available for weddings, music recordings, performances, tours and other events.  Visit Zion’s Face Book page for the latest news.   Contact Fr. Jeff Jackson at(706)-628-7272 for further information.
