Columbus Black History Walk & East Carver Heights Pilgrimage

Join in St. Thomas's Lenten pilgrimage along the Martin Luther King Trail on Saturday, March 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
TurnAround Columbus' Ronzell Buckner and others along the way will tell some of the stories about Columbus that are often overlooked. The new Heritage Trail combines stories about the history of African Americans in Columbus, found on the Columbus Black History Trail, with the stories of the development of Carver Heights area, the first African American neighborhood in Columbus.
We will learn about some of Columbus's contributions to American culture through people such as Ma Rainey and Blind Tom. Come join us for the day as we look at the heritage of Columbus from an African American perspective.
