Direct Assistance

Volunteers adminster direct service three days a week in the Columbus Ministry Center and once a month in the CVEM-Phillips House at St. Mark's, LaGrange. The majority of funds assist with housing, medical needs, scholarships, transportation and utiltities.

Gifts for direct service come exclusively from parish Poor Boxes, memorials/honorariums, special campaigns and individual donations.  100% of every dollar given to direct assistance goes to serve people in need.

• During 2011, a total of $45,300 was recieved to serve those in need.
• Through a Trinity fund at the Diocese, eight area youth received scholarships to Camp Mikell, totaling $3,750

• Christmas gifts from 93 donors totaled $12,200.
