Join Us: Conversations on 'Implicit Bias'
We continue our Striving for Justice Series conversations this month focusing on Implicit Bias.
We all view the world with various implicit biases, attitudes toward a person or group of people that operate on a subconscious level. Often, these attitudes are contrary to strongly held beliefs. So how do we address the power of our own implicit bias in order to move to a radically better place on issues of race and difference in our country?
Join us Sunday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom, where we will discuss Implicit Bias based on a couple of TED Talks -- "We All Have Implicit Bias" and "How to Overcome our Biases? Walk Boldly Toward Them". Simply watch these two talks (a total of 30 minutes) then join our Sunday, May 23 discussion.
In addition to the TED Talks, we invite you to take these self-assessments to examine your own implicit bias. They can be found HERE and HERE.
Lastly, register HERE for the link to our Zoom discussion. Hope to see you Sunday, May 23!
