JOIN US: VIRTUAL DISCUSSION OF 'ASHES TO ASHES'

CVEM's virtual Striving for Justice conversation series continues this month with TWO opportunities to view and discuss 'Ashes to Ashes' - an award-winning short documentary about a Cuthbert, GA man, Winferd Rembert, who is a rare survivor of a lynching attempt.

'Ashes to Ashes' is available on several streaming platforms. Watch it here on Vimooz and read more about Mr. Rembert's story.

Then, join the Striving for Justice group to discuss the film on Sunday, November 22nd at 5 pm. Register here for a link to the conversation. ALL are welcome.

A special invitation to view and discuss the film comes from Harris County, GA native Karen Branan who has invited us to join the Arkansas Peace & Justice Memorial Movement and Coming to the Table virtual even on Friday, November 13th or Sunday, November 15th to view the film and join a post-screening discussion with Karen and Sheila Moss-Brown, granddaughter of Henry Peg Gilbert, a prosperous farmer who was lynched in Harris County in 1947. Register here for this special opportunity. ALL are welcome.
