Sheltering Seniors Need Our Help!

Healthy volunteers are needed to drive a route and deliver meals to increasing numbers of elderly neighbors who are sheltering in place but do not have family or neighbor support. So far, the increased need for meal delivery to our elderly, food insecure neighbors translates to 2 additional daily routes, Monday through Friday! Please share this post and call, email, or PM me if you can help. [email protected] or 706-327-0400 ext. 1001
Here are some of the specifics:
- a 2 to 2 1/2 hr route
- most efficient with 2 folks--driver, deliverer
- start about 9 or 9:30 on your day
- detailed navigation and items per household instructions
- all equipment (coolers, etc) provided for hot, cold, and shelf components
- follow social engagement sanitation guidelines--masks, sanitize between deliveries
- background check required
- the opportunity to provide a life-sustaining service for isolated neighbors
