We are getting a van, courtesy of the Episcopal Community Foundation!

We are delighted to announce that CVEM, in partnership with St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Columbus, has received a capital grant of $20,500 to purchase a van to transport its program participants. This grant was provided through the generosity of the Episcopal Community Foundation for Middle and North Georgia.
The van will give us several new ways to support our clients and partner parishes. We will use this van to help eliminate transportation barriers for Direct Service clients, providing rides to take advantage of services in our community, such as job fairs or food giveaways.
We will also be able to provide rides to participants of the Thompson-Anderson-Pound (TAP) Art Program in the summer so that transportation is not a reason for children to miss out on the wonderful week. And, we hope to be able to utilize this van as we restart the Infusion program!
And lastly, we hope to extend the use of the van to our partner parishes in the convocation for transportation to Diocesan events.
We are so grateful to the Episcopal Community Foundation for Middle and North Georgia, whose purpose is to lift up people facing poverty and oppression, creating sustainable impact for individuals, families, and communities. Find out more about this organization and their work here.
